Description:

*Posting group HQ as location: final location to be determined based on

selected candidate.

*PL will be between 13-17 based on qualifications and experience of

selected candidate.



• Responsible for Facility Solutions segment sales and account

management activities focused on driving GP and market growth share with

existing and potential national customers.

• Develop and manage the implementation of key account plans for

national customers in collaboration with National Business Director and

Group Sales Director roles.

• Own an active list of targeted customers and respond to new, national

business opportunities through the development of timely, accurate and

focused RFPs as well as strategic relationship building techniques.

• Collaborate with Solutions Center to develop national business

presentations and provide marketing tools and analysis to positively

grow national business opportunities within assigned Group geography.

• Responsible for developing and strengthening business relationships

with national customer headquarters/decision makers when the

headquarters is located within assigned xpedx Group.

• Work closely with National Business Director and Group Sales Directors

to coordinate effective customer support to national customers with

headquarters in geographies outside the Group.

• Analyze market and customer accounts to assist in the development of

Facility Solutions national business strategy, focus sales and sales

support efforts.

• Actively participate in key national customer reviews and maintain a

strategic business relationship with key customers to identify and gain

growth in account share.

• In collaboration with national procurement and sourcing organizations,

ensure effective execution of and alignment with national procurement

strategy and segment suppliers to support national business customers

and opportunities.

• Understand and effectively articulate the value proposition offered by

xpedx in support of national customers, their business opportunities and

market needs.

• Maintain a proficient to expert level of competency and experience in

utilizing xpedx sales tools and aligning sales process and activities

with the xpedx value proposition.

• Investigate all customer claims promptly; coordinate appropriate

resolution with all involved parties.

• Develop and maintain an in-depth level of understanding and awareness

of the Facility Solutions segment, marketplace opportunities, challenges

and threats, and be able to anticipate changes as well as offer

solutions to differentiate the xpedx value proposition with customers.

• Maintain a strong knowledge of the strengths and opportunities of

national competitors and provide strategies and solutions to continue to

place xpedx in a preferred position with national customers.

• Position will require approximately 40% travel to customers and xpedx

locations within assigned Group; position may also require some travel

outside the Group if necessary.



Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent work experience required.

• Minimum 5-7 years successful national sales experience and 3-5 years

successful general sales experience, preferably within a large, national

or decentralized distribution organization required.

• Proficient PC skills required.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to

sudden changes in the work environment essential.

• Demonstrated strong organization, planning, communication, diplomacy

and presentation skills required.

• Effective interpersonal, negotiating and conflict management skills

required.

• Hire, develop and maintain a sales force which will

consistently meet Company objectives

• Direct the activities and training of the Packaging sales staff

to ensure that market plans and goals are consistent with and

complimentary to the departmental sales goals and cost requirements.

• Hold account reviews on a regular basis with Packaging sales

group.

• Follow company and division guidelines to develop and maintain

source relationships with those sources that contribute to the sales

and profit generated from existing and new markets.

• Manage the assets (inventory and receivables) and applicable

departmental expenses to achieve the department and division goals.

• Have direct account responsibility with specific gross profit

objectives as appropriate.

• Conduct periodic sales meetings to disseminate pertinent market

and product information as well as sales training.
