awareness of the Corporate Accounts business segment, marketplace

• Position will require approximately 30-40% travel to customers

Technicians perform a variety of standard to moderately complex

technical tasks related to installing, maintaining and repairing

heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems.



This job requires physical exertion in a heavy, industrial environment

(examples include: standing, reaching, twisting, exposure to extreme

temperatures/ weather conditions, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds).

The Savannah Mill operates 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Although the

majority of the Mill's maintenance workforce works 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

International Paper's Savannah Mill offers

excellent company paid benefits and a maintenance trainee rate of $20.16

per hour.

HVAC Technician job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Investigate problems and perform repairs or perform preventative

maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating

systems, cooling systems and pneumatic controls

• Maintain equipment by replacing bearing, fans, fan shafts, belts and

other A/C Components

• Monitor and inspect heating and cooling systems to ensure continued

proper operation

• Maintain working knowledge of refrigeration and A/C equipment

• Understand the basic functions of indoor air quality including carbon

dioxide safety

• Install dehumidifiers

• Qualified to work on low and high voltage controls; must have working

knowledge on 460 volt motors and control components

• Knowledge on integrated control circuits from electronics to

pneumatics

• Maintain EPA record compliance



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree or Technical Degree in HVAC, registered

apprenticeship or similar formal training is required

• One or more of the following certifications: Type 1 Certification,

Type 2 Certification, Type 3 Certification or Universal Certification

• Experience in Heavy Industrial Maintenance

• Must possess high standards in the areas of safety, quality, ethics,

craftsmanship, customer focus, and leadership skills
