Description:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the operations at a single

plant including planning shipping scheduling and customer service. The

position reports directly to the Site Manager and collaborates with the

Complex Sales Organization to optimize the mix of business and probe for

alternate sourcing solutions. Competent to work on all phases of

analysis while considering the business implications of the application

of processes to the current and future business environment.  Typically

has 6+ years of corrugated experience.







Major Accountabilities:

·     Provides supply chain and replenishment leadership for

facility customers.

·     Establishes an overall replenishment plan for the facility.

·     Track forecast accuracy, while defining inventory and safety

stock standards.

·     On-time-in-full-no-errors (OTIFNE) performance measurement and

communication.

·     Track, order and optimize finished and raw material

inventories.

·     Efficiently schedule facility production demands.

·     Managing order requirements through the Complex Sales

Organization and on-site Customer Service organization.

·     Support Lead Team objectives such as Safety, Engagement and

EBIT.





Qualification Requirements:

·     Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, finance, management,

or other related business discipline expected.

·     Thorough knowledge of the value-added packaging sector,

manufacturing processes and design.

·     Six years of business experience with significant corrugated

experience and expertise in high-end, value-added corrugated

propositions. With preferred expertise in the areas of customer service,

• Interact with customers to process sales order for release of

packaging materials

• Procurement of materials for warehouse inventory or drop shipment to

customers

• Implement new packaging items including sourcing, pricing quotations,

and input to computer system

• Monitor customer inventories at level desired by customer (VMI, JIT,

Kan Ban) and execute purchases of inventory based on MRP

• Arrange trucking logistics for delivery of customer’s packaging

• Perform billings to customers for packaging sold

• Adjust complaints concerning billing or services

• Manage vendor relationships and purchase order delivery schedule

• Work with a high degree of accuracy while entering orders, credit

memo’s, etc. Assure that all details for the proper handling of each

order are clearly indicated. This includes but is not limited to: P.O.

#, correct pricing, delivery instructions, delivery date, etc.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; at least two

(2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination

purchase orders, vendor invoices, packaging specifications; ability to

write routine correspondence; bi-lingual language capabilities is a

plus.

• Math Ability – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as

discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.

• Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to

carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form;

ability to deal with several variables in a standardized situation

• Computer Skills – Must have knowledge of word processing and

spreadsheet software (preferably Microsoft Office Suite), inventory

software, internet access methods, email software (preferably Microsoft

Outlook), and order processing software

Over the Road Driver work schedule: May be required to operate various

company owned and/or leased tractor-trailer combinations in order to

• The driver maintains safe driving habits and observes all traffic

laws, xpedx rules, and procedures at all times.

• Responds to customers’ needs in a polite and understanding manner and

reports any problems or inconsistencies related to delivery, in a timely

manner.

• Insures all proper paperwork and records are turned into management.

• Responsible for housekeeping inside the truck to keep it free from

debris and other safety.

• Must be trained and certified on each piece of equipment operated.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Less than 4 points on their driver’s licenses.

• Ability to work independently, as well as a team member.

• Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment
