This work schedule will vary depending on type of runs, regions covered and other factors, and is subject to the Hours of Service Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation. • Must follow all Department of Transportation regulations as described in Federal Motor Carrier’s Safety Regulations. • Required to properly enter data into onboard computer located inside vehicle. • Review and verify daily manifest of deliveries. • Visually inspect loaded truck to insure proper packaging and secure all merchandise so as not to incur damage during transportation prior to closing and locking doors. • Delivers stock to customers by predetermined route to ensure customer received their order in a timely manner • The driver maintains safe driving habits and observes all traffic laws, xpedx rules, and procedures at all times. • Responds to customers’ needs in a polite and understanding manner and reports any problems or inconsistencies related to delivery, in a timely manner. • Insures all proper paperwork and records are turned into management. • Responsible for housekeeping inside the truck to keep it free from debris and other safety. • Must be trained and certified on each piece of equipment operated. • Other duties as assigned. • Less than 4 points on their driver’s licenses. • Ability to work independently, as well as a team member. • Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment • Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
