Pay Rate: $13.68/hour (Night shift premium = $0.40/hour)
Schedule: Night Shift 7:00 P.M.-7:00 A.M.
Package lids per production schedule and specification sheet. Perform quality inspection for minor/critical defects. Inspect lid fit according to quality check sheet. Maintain housekeeping and keep area organized and ready for incoming shift. Assist Lid Line Operators by rolling sheet and grinding scrap. Label and number boxes when possible. In addition, complete other work as assigned by supervisor. All employees must follow all International Paper safety procedures and policies.
Lids, box bundles, scrap bins, misc. housekeeping supplies, tape, cups, scrap grinder, cut knife, gloves, safety locks, required personal protective equipment (PPE), goggles when/as needed, and voluntary respirator dust mask.
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Manufacturing experience of 1-2 years preferred
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
Maintains positive team environment
Demonstrated organizational skills and very detail oriented
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Work requires continuous standing and the ability to work rapidly under time pressure. Skills required attention to detail. The ability to lift approximately 20lbs and push/pull 30lbs is required.
On-the-job training provided by designated trainer experienced Packer. Training period is approximately three weeks.
Supervision received from Group Leader and Shift Supervisor.
TIME OF OPERATION:
12 hour shifts, working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks with four (12) minute breaks and one (20) minute lunch
