Pay Rate: $14.83 to $17.08/hr. (Night Shift Premium is an additional $0.40/hr.)

Schedule: C Shift 7:00 P.M. to 7 A.M.

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate a P.I.T safely and up to the international paper standards set forth. Unloading incoming trucks. RF inventory and place in designated areas. Enter P.O. into computer system. Operate dock levelers and dock locks. Inspect inbound material and trailers. Using forklift or Clamp Truck, supply raw materials/wip to the floor, presses, slitters, plastics, and blankers. Read schedule for area of responsibility to ensure correct product is a machines. Be able to supply multiple machines throughout the shift. Coordinate material deliveries through the plant to ensure zero machines down time. Use RF computer systems to transfer product from location to location accurately and timely. Load trailers with finished product, bales, rolls ect… Inspect Trailers, Operate dock locks and levelers. Count material quantities. Transport spoilage hoppers. Process bales. Use of scale system. Ensure balers are operating and tying correctly. Fix bale wires. Change Baler spools. Operate upenders to process rolls into different orientations. Clean areas and machines that have requirements of weekly/monthly cleanings. Operate Floor scrubber to clean aisles and bays throughout the facility. All employees must follow all International Paper safety procedures and policies.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires the ability to occasionally and safely lift up to approx. 50lbs, lift and carry 30 – 40 lbs. repeatedly, climbing on/off PIT up to 130 times in a 12-hour period, and a working knowledge of incoming material. Computer skills helpful. Completion of forklift training course is required.

Receive all paper, cartons, machine parts, and plastic for lids: Unloading incoming trucks. RF inventory and place in designated areas. Enter P.O. into computer system. Operate dock levelers and dock locks. Inspect inbound material and trailers.

Supply departments: Using forklift or Clamp Truck, supply raw materials/wip to the floor, presses, slitters, plastics, and blankers. Read schedule for area of responsibility to ensure correct product is a machines. Be able to supply multiple machines throughout the shift. Coordinate material deliveries through the plant to ensure zero machine down time.

RF system: Use RF computer systems to transfer product from location to location accurately and timely

Physical Demands

Occasionally = 1-33% Frequently = 34-66% Continuously = 67-100%

Occasionally: Standing, stooping, climbing (stairs 20 times a day – trailer inspections), using ladders (climb ladders up to 10 times a day – railcars), kneeling, lifting (30 -40 lbs. repeatedly; up to approx. 50 lbs. occasionally), carrying (30 -40 lbs. repeatedly), reaching, pushing and pulling, use keyboard and tools (RF unit), and working rapidly for long periods of time.

Frequently: Sitting, walking, working under time pressure.

Work Devices, Tools and Equipment: Forklift, roll clamps, box clamps, upenders, balers, dock levelers, stretch wrappers, computer, telephone, printer, RF system, knives, and misc. hand tools

TRAINING PROVIDED: On-the-job training provided by a designated trainer.

SUPERVISOR REQUIREMENTS: Supervision received from Group Leader, Shift Manager and trainer.

TIME OF OPERATION: 12 hour shifts, working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks with four (12) minute breaks and one (20) minute lunch.
