Meet or exceed your\n\nplan each year. Metrics: Ratio of Sales $ and GP $ to budgets.\n\n\u2022 Have an accurate, detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the\n\npotential of each account in your territory. Make sales calls on\n\ncustomers and prospects at a frequency that will place us in the\n\npreferred position. Build customer relationships by investing in\n\nentertainment, mill/manufacturer visits, ad specialties, etc. Develop a\n\nsufficient number of high potential prospects to guarantee future sales\n\ngrowth at greater than the market growth rate. Metric: New Account\n\nSales $ and GP $.\n\n\u2022 Keep the appropriate Sales/Department Manager and/or Division Manager\n\nwell informed, at reasonable intervals, on progress being made on:\n\nsignificant sales and account developments, as well as market, credit\n\nand competitive changes. These should be reported whether positive or\n\nnegative. Metric: Net Sales $.\n\n\u2022 Develop and maintain mill/manufacturer relationships through joint\n\nplanning, sales calls and target accounts. We must ensure our\n\nmills/manufacturers place us in the preferred position with new product\n\nintroductions and market segment support. Metric: Growth % in Target\n\nGrades.\n\n\u2022 Investigate and resolve all customer complaints promptly. Evaluate\n\nsource of problem and participate in resolution with all involved\n\nparties. Metric: Average Dispute Process Time.\n\n\u2022 Assist in the collection efforts of the Division on assigned accounts.\n\nMetric: A/R % Current.\n\n\u2022 Maintain all price books. Properly communicate announced product and\n\nprice changes, availability conditions, and other pertinent\n\nannouncements to your customers. Deliver products and samples as\n\nnecessary. Metric: Average GP/Order.\n\n\u2022 Maintain all system information in a timely, accurate and complete\n\nmanner. This should include but not be limited to: customer master,\n\nexpress order forms, customer unsold stock agreements, pricing, etc.\n\n\u2022 Maintain all customer files accurately, including key personnel, sales\n\nhistory and potential sales data.\n\n\u2022 Execute all paperwork in a timely, accurate and comprehensive manner.\n\n\u2022 Foster a positive working environment with fellow employees and\n\ncustomers.\n\n\u2022 Participate, when appropriate, on task teams to represent the sales\n\nperspective and promote company development.\n\n\u2022 Participate actively in company sponsored training sessions, regularly\n\nscheduled sales meetings and division functions.\n\n\u2022 Review new product developments and sales techniques on an ongoing\n\nbasis.
