International Paper Lift Truck - Shipping in OLIVE BRANCH BOX, Mississippi
Key Functions: It is expected that all Fork Lift Operators cooperate in a mutual effort with other Fork Lift Operators, Shipping Shift Coordinators, Drivers, Supervisors, Unitizer Operator and other plant personnel, in order to obtain the maximum level of safety, efficiency and smooth operations within the department. It is also expected that the customers' interest and that of International Paper be taken into full consideration in order to develop the highest standards of safety, quality, service, and integrity.
Lift Truck Operator will report for duty at assigned start time.
As each on duty interval starts, the Drivers must check the assigned lift according to maintenance and safety regulations and either begin or continue with procedures of the department.
Pull finished product from unitizer line placing it in the warehouseor into a trailer.
Load all product shipped from the department.
Properly stacks and stores all finished product held in the department.
Transfer all non-conforming products (units without load tags) to the appropriate location as instructed by supervisor.
Properly prepares load tally sheets, count, etc. for billing.
Inspect and report any defective product or pallets coming into the department from unitizer or being unloaded from trucks.
Unload any pallets, plant supplies, and returned goods coming in through the department.
Operators are to properly load trailers with finished product to obtain maximum load capacity, free from damage and in compliance with customers' specs.
Maintain housekeeping levels according to the procedures set forth in the department.
Maintain equipment in the department and follow all safety regulations.
Perform any and all duties that are assign by your supervisor.
Successful candidates will be expected to submit to and pass an Operations & Skilled Trades Test, pre-employment health assessment, drug test and background check.
