• Provides comprehensive safety and workers compensation support to

facilities. Performs daily proactive role in providing safe work

environment to ensure safe work habits.

• Coordinates staffing and succession planning activities ensuring

division compliance with all state, federal, and company HR / employment

policies. Ensures salaries are competitive and within organizational

budgets.

• Works with managers to ensure timely completion of performance

evaluations for all division employees. Serves as a resource in

developing annual objectives and performance improvement plans.

• Coordinates employee benefit program to include health, dental, life,

and disability insurance, and retirement and savings plan. Serves as a

resource liaison to resolve problems and answer questions concerning

employee benefit matters.

• Coaches and educates managers regarding work rules, labor principles,

legal parameters and business direction to ensure fairness, consistency

and alignment with organizational direction. Ensures management has the

necessary training to remain in compliance.

• Develops yearly affirmative action plan and ensures facilities are in

compliance.

• Maintains all employee personnel files as well as records of

transfers, promotions, termination, hires, and turnover for affirmative

action and EEO purposes and ensures HRIS information on each employee is

processed timely

• May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.



Key Qualifications

• Must have a BA in human Resources, Liberal Arts, or other curriculum,

or equivalent experience.

• Professional membership in management / human resource organization.

• 3 + years experience in the human resources area.

• Has PC skills, written and verbal communication skills.

• Has knowledge of state, federal, and company laws, policies and

procedures relating to employee issues.

• Must work effectively with multiple customers with diverse priorities

and needs in the achievement of business goals and objectives.

Engineer IV



This engineering position will support the operations departments and

report to the mill engineering manager. The successful candidate will

be responsible for project planning and engineering for a mill

department. These project duties will include managing the organization

of the project, the preparation for projects, and the implementation of

and supervision of those projects until released to operations.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



• Other responsibilities include managing compliance programs,

scope definition, schedule coordination, equipment specifications,

providing engineering support for small projects, root cause failure

analysis, and providing project management services on projects in other

departments of the mill as needed.

• Other skills required are the ability to effectively communicate

with operations departments, maintenance, vendors, contractors and mill

management on issues that you deal with on a daily basis.

• In addition this position will be responsible for Maintenance on

call duties approximately once every six weeks.



QUALIFICATIONS:



• BS Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Five years of experience as mechanical engineer in the pulp,

paper or refinery industries.

• Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques.

• Knowledge of Weld repair techniques.

• Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights and have the

ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Training in failure modes and hands-on experience with Failure

Analysis.

• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Project is a plus.

• Experience with paper machine project management is desired.
