Position functions with dual role as Regional Sales Manager and Global

Account Manager. Responsibilities include the following:

Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific:

• Direct all Pulp sales in Asia Pacific Region. Region includes

China, India, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Total

volume exceeds 200,000 tons. Position has crossover accountability to

execute global account strategies for key customers having plant

locations within region including Proctor &amp; Gamble, SCA, TZMO and

others. The region is the largest and fastest growing region of the

world for absorbent hygiene products.



Global Account Manager, Itochu/Unicharm

• Itochu is one of the largest commodity trading companies

globally.  Unicharm has headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and is amongst the

fastest growing customers globally in the absorbent hygiene market.

Volume with Itochu and Unicharm is in excess of 100,000 tons and

growing.



Key Accountabilities:



Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific:

• Supervise directly regional sales reps to cover region.



• Develop sales strategy for region and execute to achieve key

deliverables including targeted volume and profit. The strategy must

include provisions for direct sales and sales through

agents/distributors within region.



• Accountable to maintain relationship with senior leadership of

key agents/distributors.



• Serve as team lead for a cross functional Customer Account Team

related to the key regional responsibilities. The individual will work

with the team to develop a comprehensive regional strategy designed to

achieve key deliverables.



•  Execute Global Account Strategy, as directed by Global Account

Managers for other key customers with plant operations in region.



•  Consolidate market intelligence for region and share with HQ

related to customer knowledge, IP share and competitive landscape

• Must manage SG&amp;A and T&amp;E to budget.



• Understand competitor capabilities and establish sales strategies

to effectively compete.



• Function effectively in foreign markets with excellent cultural

and international business acumen.



• Set objectives and goals with distributors and trading companies.





Global Account Manager, Unicharm:



• The individual is responsible for the relationship and

performance of this key customer.



• Serve as team lead for a cross functional Customer Account Team

related to the global account responsibilities. The individual will

work with the team to develop a comprehensive Global Account Strategy

designed to achieve key deliverables.



• The position will direct execution of the Global Account Strategy

working with peer Regional Sales Managers in the Americas and EMEA.



• Cultural acumen required to function effectively in foreign

markets

• Proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 7-10 years

experience

• Work with the Group VP and other Division Managers to develop

• Strong knowledge of all aspects of the distribution business,

sales, marketing, finance and administration, as well as the methods

• Minimum 4 year degree in related field with graduate degree

and/or course work desirable.

• Previous successful Management experience in the distribution

business in a large Division, preferably as a General Manager.

• Directly supervises department and small facility managers.

• Proficient in interpersonal, writing, management, analytical,

presentation, problem solving, and communications skills.

• Must have a high level of integrity, energy and leadership

ability. Must have the ability to understand distribution and company

economics and must be able to effectively communicate with a wide

variety of internal and external customers at different levels of the

organization.

hire and train all direct reports. Ensure that all employees receive

prompt, thorough and accurate performance feedback. Ensure that high

addressed through training and coaching. Ensure consistent coaching,

counseling, training and development is provided to all employees.

Ensure career planning for employees and succession planning for the

division. Metrics: Employee Retention Rate, Engagement Survey Scores,

• Ensure proper staffing levels and employee productivity. Match the

number of employees by department to sales and order volume. Ensure
