Description:

The Ticonderoga Mill, in Ticonderoga, New York is located within the

Adirondack Park, a vast wilderness area abounding in lakes, rivers,

streams, hiking trails and year-around outdoor recreation. The mill is

situated on Lake Champlain with sweeping views of Vermont and the Green

Mountains. Nearby Lake George is renowned for its extraordinary beauty

and crystal clear water. World class skiing, snowboarding and winter

recreation facilities are readily accessible, including Lake Placid's

Olympic venues. Affordable housing, excellent area schools and

proximity to Burlington, VT, Glens Falls and Albany, NY and even

Montreal for shopping and cultural activities, make living in

The mill is an integral part of Printing and Communication Paper?s

manufacturing strategy making Accent Opaque and premium cut-size

products. The Ticonderoga mill has approximately 580 employees 480 of

which are represented by The USW International union.

Description:

The HR Manager is an integral part of the Mill?s Lead Team and the

Printing & Communications Papers Mfg. Business HR Team. As the HR

Leader of the facility, the position provides functional coordination

and direction of all human resources programs in the mill. Incumbent

requires a strong blend of change management and labor relations skills.

Description:

- Has responsibility for the continuous improvement and measurement

of the effectiveness of the mill human resources organization.

- Acts with manufacturing management in instituting work system

improvements which positively impact business profitability. Champion of

LMS/LCMS systems and process.

- Create staffing, selection, training and development plans to

build teams that fully contribute to achieving business goals.

- Foster environment focused on alignment, engagement, and

execution to accomplish key business objectives.

- Educate and coach management and others on Company policies and

work rules.

- Champion leadership and people development processes.

- Develops and ensures implementation of an employee relations

strategy. Coordinate closely with employee relations and BHRM to insure

alignment and support.

- Acts a Chief Spokesperson in negotiations and must be capable to

Advocate in Arbitration.

- Accountable for mill Affirmative Action Programs and compliance.

- Diversity Champion for the Mill.

- Researches and introduces human resources best practice concepts

to ensure that the organization is utilizing leading edge human

resources technology and pro-actively considering and implementing new

strategies Shares best practices across the organization.

- Promote and participate in the planning and implementation of

communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent and timely

information on business issues and employee concerns.

- Proactive internal consultant to Lead Team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor?s degree

- 5 ? 7 years Human Resources and/or related business experience, 7+

years preferred.

- Labor relations experience preferred.
