We currently have an opening for a Shipper at our Beaverton Kraft Paper Bag facility. We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking for a long-term career in a fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. Must be available to work any shift and mandatory overtime.

The fundamental purpose of the Shipper position is to operate an industrial lift truck to transport product or raw materials from line to the warehouse, from warehouse to trucks, or directly from line to trucks, load product into shipping containers, unload pallets from trucks with the lift truck, and drive clamp truck to receive roll stock.

Essential duties include:

  • drive clamp truck to receive roll stock, scan rolls into the system, put rolls away in the warehouse.

  • transport rolls from warehouse to production line, and if caught up, perform loading duties.

  • drive forklift to move products or raw materials from production lines to the warehouse or directly from the production line to trucks.

  • drive forklift from product from warehouse onto trucks, or load product into shipping containers, essential to drive forklift to unload pallets from trucks, bring pallets from outside into production areas.

  • verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.

  • compare identifying information and counts, weigh items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading.

  • periodically affix shipping labels on packed cartons, shrink wrap cartons with plastic wrap, glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.

  • unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, essential to route items to departments.

  • examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.

  • match invoices or bills of lading with materials received.

  • complete a daily forklift inspection and checklist, and notify maintenance of any problems.

  • other duties as assigned.

We offer a competetive hourly rate starting at $18.54 per hour plus applicable shift differential and overtime. We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, disability, life insurance, and 401(k) savings accounts.
