Plant Production – General Labor:
The International Paper Dallas (I-35), TX facility is currently seeking qualified applicants for Plant Production – General Labor.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. Plant manufacturing experience required (hands on operation of industrial machinery/equipment) and corrugated industry experience preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Following all safety rules and practices
• Understand basic box design principles and specifications and is able to apply them to identify and address customer issues and/or improve margins within assigned accounts.
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks
• Trouble-shooting and solving problems
• Maintaining teamwork with other associates
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervision
Requirements for this role:
Must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
At least two (2) years of manufacturing experience.
Corrugated industry experience preferred.
Mechanical aptitude a plus and ability to operate industrial equipment (or aptitude to learn it)
Minimum of two (2) years of forklift operation strongly desired.
Experience working with software programs such as Microsoft programs and Kiwiplan strongly desired.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
The hiring process for successful candidates will include a pre-employment aptitude test, panel interview, and successful completion of the following – drug screen, health assessment, background and reference checks.
Compensation: Starting hourly rate $16.17
