International Paper, Fond du Lac currently has multiple openings for entry-level Production Workers at our Box manufacturing facility. This facility manufactures corrugated packaging products for local and national customers.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.

Wage Information:

The Fond du Lac Container plant offers a competitive starting hourly wage of $16.96 per hour in 2018, with the opportunity for advancement following a successful probationary period after 90 days . Next lowest wage rate after 90 days is $18.49 with most new hires earning $19.89 to $20.14 per hour. Maximum Pay entails classification into new job openings IF successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, based on bidding/classification & training.

Additional shift differential of $0.23 per hour for 2nd shift, and $0.26 per hour for 3rd shift.

New Employees are evaluated every 15 calendar days during probationary period on: Safety/Housekeeping, Effort, Quality & Quantity of Work, Ability to Work Independently & as a Team, Ability to Learn, Punctuality & Attention to Detail

Union Production Employee- United Steel Workers (USW) Local 2-0945 Maximum Pay entails classification into new job openings IF complete the 90-day probationary period, based on bidding/classification & training.

Available Shift Information:

Open positions are only available on 2nd or 3rd shift. NO openings on 1st shift. Training however will be on 1st shift as needed.

Weekday overtime is required as needed to cover for employee vacations or employees on Leaves of Absences. Applicants must be available on all three shifts if needed to cover overtime

Six (6) hour shifts may be posted on some Saturdays as needed to meet customer demands. . (Overtime information and Saturdays would be explained more thoroughly if interviewed).

Job Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities are dependent on department placement in our corrugator or converting department and include running and maintaing large machines in a safe manner, reading factory orders, accurately reading tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment utilizing basic shop math. All employees are responsible for factory housekeeping, following work orders along with inspecting, counting and stacking product, and accurately completing quality checks, along with any needed miscellaneous duties.

The ability to follow directions ensures proper production and customer satisfaction needed to satisfy customer orders.

Attention to detail, and following directions, is required in all aspects of our jobs to ensure proper production orders to our customers' satisfaction. Administrative duties include a wide variety of miscellaneous paperwork.



Minimum qualifications for consideration are a high school degree (or equivalent work experience).

Qualified candidates include those with a steady work history and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Ideal candidates will have a steady work history with 2+ years of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Highly qualified candidates would possess one or more years experience in the corrugated industry or similar manufacturing environment along with computer skills.
