DESCRIPTION

International Paper’s ITSS Application Services organization is charged with designing, building, implementing and sustaining an enterprise solution based on an SAP technology platform with integration to Non-SAP applications. The application processes in scope support the enterprise, global.

The Solution Manager and Test Technology analyst will be responsible for leading projects and serving as a technical expert in defining and rolling out capabilities, processes, and best practices for Solution Manager and Test Management strategic initiatives. The analyst will provide technical knowledge, design, configuration and solution delivery of advanced functionality within Solution Manager (SolMan), HP ALM and test automation technologies for all teams across ITSS and business partners. Some integrated applications in scope include APO, ECC, BW, SCM, CRM, SRM, HR, Greycon, and OrderIP, Witron, Kiwi, etc. This position will leverage their understanding of the various capabilities spanning Solution Manager and Test Management technologies in order to drive to consistency in processes and methodologies to support an overall enterprise solution. This position responsibility spans the Service Transition module of ITIL including change management, knowledge management, service validation and testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction:

  • Set up and support of solution manager and test capabilities including Business Process Analytics/Monitoring (BPA/BPM), Interface Monitoring, Service Desk, Change & Request Management (ChaRM), Custom Code Management (CCM), Change Impact Analysis (BPCA/SEA), Solution Documentation (Soldoc), Data Volume Management (DVM), HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), HP LoadRunner, and SAP Test Acceleration & Optimization TAO.

  • Implement and deploy new capabilities and technical improvements for solution manager and test management tools across all application areas.

  • Set up and support of security authorization concepts, ensuring that all personnel have the appropriate access to carry out Solution manager and test management job functions.

  • Lead design and build activities for all solution manager and test management tools including design work, prototyping, testing and proof of concepts.

  • Develop tools and procedures to effectively and efficiently balance workload of multiple assigned projects/tasks to ensure all are delivered on target and on time.

  • Support methodology for increasing bench strength across all members of the team to strengthen ability to design, build and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

  • Surface issues and risks to leadership, communicate status, and assist in driving to resolution through strong effective communication.

  • Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders for adoption of Solution Manager and Test Management technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 - 8 years experience in Information Technology and experience with large scale IT deployment projects such as integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

  • Comfort in presenting solutions to peers, teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Candidate should possess excellent analytical skills and relevant work experience, including establishing and managing timelines for tasks and implementation of project plans.

  • Candidate must have a demonstrated ability of excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and commitment to deliver high quality product within a limited timeline.

  • BS degree in computer science or related field preferred.

  • Exposure to and knowledge of all phases of the project delivery (PDP) lifecycle from process design through production support preferred.

  • Functional / Technical skills in SAP Solution Manager, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), HP LoadRunner, and SAP Test Acceleration & Optimization TAO setup, design, integration, and configuration best practices preferred.
