International Paper’s Application Services (AS) organization is charged with designing, building, implementing and sustaining an enterprise Supply Chain ERP solution based on an SAP technology platform. The objective of the solution is to support and enable changing business processes to improve customer satisfaction and reduce supply chain costs. The application processes include Planning & Scheduling, Source, Order Management, E-Commerce, Manufacturing Processes, Cost & Profitability and Deliver. The supporting technology areas are SAP Development, Business Warehouse/Intelligence, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Data Management.

The Deliver IT Business Analyst I will work in a team environment to recommend and deliver technology enabling business processes in the areas of Materials, Inventory, Warehouse Processes, Carrier Communications and Shipment Execution. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Supply Chain processes and have experience performing design the Deliver area. The applications in scope include SAP ECC, EDI (electronic data interchange), .Net based MES, and any additional Global Supply Chain approved operating model applications.

Ideal candidates will be team players that bring project management skills, analytical skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills. The candidate will need to have an understanding of Supply Chain processes and will be able to contribute to the team by supporting the team on large projects and working small to medium sized enhancements, as well as productions support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participation in the overall process improvement of the functional area.

  • Analyze complex user information flows

  • Create functional specs and perform configuration, acceptance testing, and problem resolution

  • Evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions that meet needs while maintaining business standards

  • Production Support

  • Work both independently and with team members to ensure the delivered design meets business requirements and best practice supply chain solutions

  • Plan and lead select assignments for the functional areas ensuring results are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings and communicating regularly with team management and team

  • Work cohesively with other Information Technology resources, PIMs, and the business Center of Excellence representatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-6 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: IT, system configuration and analysis, business knowledge, project management or systems integration.

  • BS degree in computer science or related field

  • Experience in SAP SD, MM or LE preferred

  • Knowledgeable of the MES Deliver processes or Omega Systems in general preferred

  • Familiarity with IDOC, EDI or ALE processes preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP integration between SAP modules preferred
