Technical Sales Representative is responsible for the addressing and resolution of service, product quality and product performance issues related to IP’s supply to its customers. Coordinates appropriate course of action with supplying plant’s Sales, Customer Service, Production and Finance teams. The position is responsible for providing insights for development of customer Value Propositions that will create IP market advantage. The position will provide timely feedback on market, customer, and competitive activity influencing the market. The position participates in development and has responsibility for delivery of financial solutions. Primarily handles large-sized accounts or selected customers with a complex product mix.
Acts as primary IP contact at key National Account customers.
Acts as a technical expert in troubleshooting the technical aspects of product sales, manufacturing, and development.
Activities involve visiting company manufacturing and customer facilities to identify and resolve technical product manufacturing issues and, in some organizations, the installation repair and preventative maintenance of equipment sales.
Serves as a resource for other internal departments and may be sought out by others for advice and solutions.
Identifies and initiates problem resolution process improvement and serves as primary resource to company and customer operations.
BS/BA in Related Field Preferred
5+ years experience with packaging applications
Maintenance or engineering education or completion of advanced trade certification training is a plus
Experience in the corrugated box industry is a plus
