Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Check for count accuracy and conformance to specification

  • Double check for quality issues, communicating them to control room operator or wet end operator

  • Measure finished sheet for accuracy

  • Insert Proper load tags into finished “measured” units

  • Check unit for appearance

  • Operate count station and load tag printer

  • Restack non-conforming units

  • Hand-flip bundles when warped, or otherwise required]

  • Properly document non-conforming materials onto disposition sheet

  • Determine whether order is complete or partial

  • Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment

  • Operator must be proficient in using/reading tape measure and safe use of utility knife

  • Operator must keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping floor clean of sheets

  • Operator must be able to safely lift/move up to 75lbs during regular work shift

  • Operator must follow lock-out/ tag-out procedures

  • Prepare and set in place the “Top” dunnage for unit strapping

The qualifications for load tag operators are the ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
